Micro Reminder – Privacy Policy
Thanks for using Micro Reminder. The app is designed to be simple, private, and easy to use. This page explains what the app does and, just as importantly, what it does not do.
No account • No sign-in • No cloud profile
1) Information We Collect
We do not collect personal data ourselves. Micro Reminder does not ask you to create an account and does not send your reminders or any personal information to our servers.
2) Information Processed on Your Device
- Your reminders are stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. They are never uploaded to any external server.
- Notification and alarm settings are processed locally so the app can ring and display reminders at the right time.
- App preferences (e.g., language settings) may be stored locally so the app works as expected.
- Crash/diagnostic data may be provided automatically by your device or the app store to help improve reliability.
3) Advertising (Google AdMob)
Micro Reminder uses Google AdMob to display ads. This is the only third-party service integrated into the app.
AdMob may collect:
- Device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID)
- IP address and general location (city/region-level)
- App interaction information
- Diagnostic information
We do not have access to this data ourselves. It is handled according to Google’s privacy and advertising policies:
4) What We Don’t Do
- No selling of personal data.
- No creation of user profiles on our servers.
- No uploading of reminders or personal content.
- No continuous background tracking.
5) Permissions
Micro Reminder requests only the permissions required for core functionality:
- Notifications: used to alert you at the time you choose.
- Alarms/Wake locks (system behaviours): used to show reminders reliably, even if the screen is off.
If a permission is denied, related features may be limited, but the rest of the app will still work.
6) Children
The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information within the app, contact us and we will address it promptly.
7) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Any changes will appear here with an updated “Last updated” date.
